6 Egg Pavlova

This is a large pavlova that takes minimum time to prepare, in that it is an all-in-one mix.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites large
  • 3 tsp white vinegar
  • 3 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 cup caster sugar
  • 3 tsp cornflour
  • 4 tbs boiling water

Equipment

  • baking paper
  • bow
  • Method

    • STEP 1Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl, adding boiling water last.
    • STEP 2Beat on full speed until very stiff.
    • STEP 3Spread on pavlova plate or baking sheet cook for 15 minutes on 160C, then approximately 1 hour on 150C.
    • STEP 4Cool in the oven with the door a jar.
    • STEP 5Top with whipped cream and fruit of choice.

    Notes

    Mixed berries and strawberries are good, or crumbled chocolate, or fruit topped with passion fruit pulp. The time depends on the oven efficiency, so keep a watch on it towards the end.
