Method

  • STEP 1Mix oil and herbs together.
  • STEP 2Place potatoes in bottom of slow cooker.
  • STEP 3Place lamb leg on top.
  • STEP 4Lightly baste lamb with oil mixture
  • STEP 5Turn lamb over and use the rest of the oil to baste the top side.
  • STEP 6Cover and cook in the slow cooker, turning lamb and potatoes halfway through cooking.
  • STEP 7For well-done meat, cut deep slashes in the lamb towards the end of the cooking time.

Notes

I thought the potatoes may need a bit of oil to stop them drying out, but the condensation and other ingredients kept them moist. The juices can be used to make gravy.
