The quickest and lightest pizza ever made. Great for lunch or dinner, when there's no time to wait for dough to rise.

Pita Bread Pizza



Ingredients

  • 1 pita bread
  • 3/4 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 3/4 cup baby spinach leaves only
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella

Sauce

  • 1 tbs tomato paste
  • 1/2 cloves garlic small crushed
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbs water
  • 1 pinch salt *to taste
  • Method

    • STEP 1Preheat the oven to 200C. Place the Pita bread on an oven tray.
    • STEP 2Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and spread on the pita bread.
    • STEP 3Place mushroom, spinach and cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden.

    Notes

    When tight on time I use the store bought pizza paste ready to squeeze on the pita bread. Use any of your favourite veggie combinations for lots of different pizza options
